Maximizer Portal
Our Maximizer portal features a variety of different tools.

Phage Receptor Database
(PhReD)
The Phage Receptor Database (PhReD) compiles bacterial receptors involved in phage-host recognition.
This database includes over 560 phages, over 560 receptors, and over 80 different hosts (and counting).
The beautiful visual filter can be used to easily search specific entries and navigate through the database.
All data can be exported and you can also contribute your own receptors to this growing database.
Interactive Phylogenetic Trees
Our interactive phylogenetic trees are the gateway for quick and easy access to several data (such as whole genomes and gene sequences) from different bacterial groups (updated regularly).
You can easily visualize metabolic pathways and determine presence and absence of genes with our interactive pathways feature.
We also add new pathways regularly or you can request for a specific pathway to be included.

Organism Comparison
The organism comparisons allow for more in depth comparisons of a few (or a lot) of organisms.
Searching for organisms to compare is easy with our visual filter, and we have several chart options (bar chart, dot plots, pie charts, etc.) to visualize various data with.
Charts can be downloaded as tables or images or can be saved as projects to be accessed in the future or shared with collaborators.
More data and chart types are continually added regularly.
Discourse Community
The entire Maximizer community is just a message away! Discourse allows for members of the Maximizer portal to communicate.
Feel free to ask or answer questions, as well as share data.
You can also contact the Bio-Conversion Databank Foundation Maximizer team through Discourse.
